Mountainfilm May 27-May 30
In addition to screening leading independent documentary films from
around the world, the festival includes a full-day symposium on a
pressing contemporary issue such as energy (2007), water (2008), food
(2009) and the extinction crisis (2010). In addition to films and
speakers, the festival includes art exhibits, book signings, student
workshops and a forum for other non-profit organizations aligned with
Mountainfilm’s mission and programming.
Balloon Rally June 4-June 5
At sunrise, the skies above Telluride fill with colorful hot-air
balloons. At sunset, Telluride's main street is the setting for the
annual balloon glow. All events are weather permitting. If there is no
wind, several balloons will tether in Town Park for tethered rides for
all in attendance. Anyone wishing to get a ride on a balloon should go
to the park and volunteer to be part of a crew.
Telluride Heritage Fest June 10-June 12
Celebrate Telluride's colorful and storied past. Venture back in time
and walk along historic main street where Butch Cassidy once roamed.
Mingle with weathered cowboys and gold-hungry prospectors and all
others who answered the call of the San Juan Mountains. From the era of
the mining boom through the rise of alpine skiing, Telluride’s roots
have greatly influenced its rich character. Discover Telluride's true
colors as storytellers weave tall tales from the past.
Telluride Bluegrass Festival June 16-June 19
The 2011 festival promises another magical four days of
only-in-Telluride performances. Beloved Festival veterans and inspiring
new talent. The Telluride royalty of virtuosic bluegrass superpickers,
soulful songwriters, and some of the biggest stars in the rootsy
Americana landscape.
Telluride Wine Festival June 23-June 26
Pairing the beauty of the mountains with indulgence of fine wines, this
multi-day event features winemakers' luncheons, cooking demonstrations,
reserve programs, seminars and tastings for novices and experts alike.
On Friday and Saturday, there is also music scheduled in Telluride Town Park.

Celebrate independence the old-fashioned way: a parade down Telluride's main street at 10 a.m., a community picnic in Town Park around noon with games for kids, and spectacular fireworks that begin shortly after dark

The Telluride Jazz weekend is in fact, a "celebration" of the art,

venues. Join jazz greats for a weekend of music on the stage in
Telluride Town Park by day and in intimate bar venues by night.
Chamber Music Festival August 11-August 20
The Telluride Chamber Music Festival has been bringing music to
Telluride since 1973, offering chamber music as it was originally
intended—up close and personal. The festival creates a spontaneous
connection between audience and musicians that lifts the human spirit.
Festival director Roy Malan is also the concertmaster with the San
Francisco Ballet.
Festival of the Arts August 12-August 14
The Telluride Festival of the Arts (TFA) is an annual weekend-long, culinary and visual arts event held in Mountain Village.
Produced by the nationally renowned Cherry Creek Arts Festival, the
Telluride Festival of the Arts hosts national and regional professional
visual artists from across the United States in a one-of-a-kind outdoor
exhibition nestled in a box canyon surrounded by the majestic 13,000ft
peaks of San Juan Mountains.
Mushroom Festival August 18-August 21
Fungophiles from around the world gather to participate in forays,
lectures, dining identification and the mushroom parade in Telluride's
mushroom-rich surroundings. Pick, discuss and eat during an
information-filled weekend.
Telluride Film Festival September 2-September 5
Each Labor Day Weekend, the tiny town of Telluride, Colorado, triples
in numbers. Swells of passionate film enthusiasts flood the town for
four days of total cinematic immersion, embarking on a viewing odyssey,
blissfully spending entire days in flickering dark rooms. With only an
appreciation of celluloid to guide them, these devotees flock to the
show, year after year. Why? Blind faith.
Blues and Brews Festival September 16-September 18
Telluride Blues and Brews Festival features three days of world-renowned musicians performing in Telluride Town Park.
In addition to three days of main-stage music attractions, there's
late-night jams in the local juke joints, 50 choice microbreweries who
serve up handcrafted brews during Saturday's Grand Tasting, the Rainbow
Kids area, free Acoustic Artist Series, Blues for Breakfast and the
Telluride Acoustic Blues Camp.
Telluride Tech Festival September 30-October 2
This intimate gathering at the Sheridan Opera House
features distinguished honorees from the around the world who discuss
the past, present and future of technology. Tech Fest is based on the
historical fact that in 1891, Nikola Tesla, George Westinghouse and
Telluride’s own L.L. Nunn built the world’s first commercial-grade AC
power plant in Telluride, Colorado. The intimate mountain environment
of Telluride continues to be an ideal environment for discussion and
reflection.
